It’s been an unusual and hectic couple of years since we last printed ‘The Y’, so we’re delighted to be able to announce the launch of the 2022/23 edition! Chances are that you already know ‘The Y Yachting Itineraries’, so you will be familiar with the format. In each edition we suggest different destinations to visit by yacht, with ideas for things to see and do while you’re there, and the best places to eat. And even if a destination is somewhere you’ve visited before or it’s somewhere new, we guarantee we’ll show you things you didn’t already know. Hard copies will be available in the coming days, but in the meantime, the complete book is available online >>> here We have dubbed this book the ‘Art Edition’, inspired by Málaga, the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, and Costa Brava, which Salvador Dalí called home. Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, meanwhile, were home to Joan Miró, completing our trifecta of Spanish modern masters. We revisit Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, which are attracting strong interest from charterers, while by popular demand, we conclude this edition with a deep dive on The Bahamas. Remember, wherever you’re heading this season, ESTELA is on […]
On the occasion of the Palma Superyacht Village, ESTELA hosted its second annual “Captains’ Dinner at the Museum”. Staged in the stunning setting of Palma’s San Carlos Military Museum, this exclusive event was attended by 100 guests, including captains and their partners, sponsors and guests. The evening kicked off with sunset cocktails overlooking Palma Bay, leading to a candle-lit four course dinner, under canvas, in the atmospheric courtyard of the military fortress. Entertainment was provided by an operatic soprano, followed by a jazz trio, with our DJ turning up the heat well into the early hours. Huge thanks go to our sponsors and partners who made the evening possible: AYSS; Coral Marine; Charter Itinerary; Autovidal; Termopetroli; Swisspath Yachting; Jotun; Antigua Yacht Club Marina & Resort; Moncada Hispania Boutique; Gym Marine; Bluewater; The Crew Network; Díaz & Asociados; Argentario Yacht Services; Express Bunker; Fronda

On Friday, October 5th from 8pm, we will again be taking over the Crew Bar in Port Adriano for a fun-filled night of live music, food and ‘refreshments’, as we ditch our uniforms and let our hair down. As we all love those celebrity clients with their crazy demands, crazy fashion and cosmetic surgery, we’re inviting you to do your creative best and put yourselves in their shoes for one night. Raid your wardrobes, party store or local charity shop and wow us with your funniest fancy dress celebrity outfit (easy, if you’re doing Ron Jeremy…). Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes on the night, so don’t hold back! Return transport will be provided from STP and Club de Mar to Port Adriano, so we really hope you’ll be able to join us. Interview with Inspector Luis Porto and Subinspector Juan A.Lemos of the foreign control. Pag 28 – The Y / Yachting Handbook – Captains Chapter All recreational embarkations that come to Palma, the Captain being the person responsible for the embarkation has certain obligations that he must comply with at the maritime port authorities; these are not only for Mallorca but Spain the EU and all Schengen areas. The requirements that they need are the following. Crew list with nationality and passport details Guest list with nationality and passports, name surname all details, not only crew members but guests on board. I understand that some people want to stay anonymous, but we must be able to identify who is on board and who is in the country. We understand that captains want to be discreet about who they have on board but this is inevitable, not only here but all over the world. Read More (Pag 28)
