Jet skiers are welcome along the coastline but in order to use a Jet Ski in the Balearic waters there are certain rules that must be obeyed.
The person driving the Jet Ski must be over 16 years of age, and must hold a valid License for Jet ski.
You cannot navigate in areas that are reserved for Boats. It is forbidden to ride a bike less than 200 meters from the beach, thus avoiding accidents with swimmers and less than 50 meters in the rest of the coast within a navigation channel with buoys, access to the coast or a beach without these channels, or within a port, at a maximum speed of 3 knots.
Is not allowed to practice this sport within the ports, access channels, in the areas of mooring buoys and in areas of high concentration of boats, whether they are sailing or moored, as well as areas where sailing regattas are.
Cannot beat the distance of two nautical miles from the coast.
With regards to water toys jet skis are able to tow as long as they have the correct hook attached to the rear.
Whether the person governing the watercraft and passengers of the same, use a life jacket approved a minimum of 150 Newton buoyant.
They can only navigate as per the maximum number of persons indicated by the manufacturer.
The registration shall appear on both sides of the vehicle and is compulsory to carry at least third party insurance. It is only allowed to use the bikes during the day, from sunrise until one hour before sunset.
