The Cannes Yachting Festival 2019 was significantly bigger than last year, with the show establishing itself as a major expo for sailing yachts, medium-sized motor yachts and a wide variety of smaller watercraft.
In contrast to Monaco’s MYS and other large shows that are charter-oriented, Cannes features mostly new and used yachts for sale. Italian manufacturers were particularly well represented, using the event to showcase new models to prospective buyers and press.
For an event labelled a ‘festival’, Cannes lacks the party atmosphere found at other shows, but Monaco should more than compensate. No doubt, we’ll return next year.
