It’s been an unusual and hectic couple of years since we last printed ‘The Y’, so we’re delighted to be able to announce the launch of the 2022/23 edition! Chances are that you already know ‘The Y Yachting Itineraries’, so you will be familiar with the format. In each edition we suggest different destinations to visit by yacht, with ideas for things to see and do while you’re there, and the best places to eat. And even if a destination is somewhere you’ve visited before or it’s somewhere new, we guarantee we’ll show you things you didn’t already know. Hard copies will be available in the coming days, but in the meantime, the complete book is available online >>> here We have dubbed this book the ‘Art Edition’, inspired by Málaga, the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, and Costa Brava, which Salvador Dalí called home. Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca, meanwhile, were home to Joan Miró, completing our trifecta of Spanish modern masters. We revisit Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, which are attracting strong interest from charterers, while by popular demand, we conclude this edition with a deep dive on The Bahamas. Remember, wherever you’re heading this season, ESTELA is on […]
On the occasion of the Palma Superyacht Village, ESTELA hosted its second annual “Captains’ Dinner at the Museum”. Staged in the stunning setting of Palma’s San Carlos Military Museum, this exclusive event was attended by 100 guests, including captains and their partners, sponsors and guests. The evening kicked off with sunset cocktails overlooking Palma Bay, leading to a candle-lit four course dinner, under canvas, in the atmospheric courtyard of the military fortress. Entertainment was provided by an operatic soprano, followed by a jazz trio, with our DJ turning up the heat well into the early hours. Huge thanks go to our sponsors and partners who made the evening possible: AYSS; Coral Marine; Charter Itinerary; Autovidal; Termopetroli; Swisspath Yachting; Jotun; Antigua Yacht Club Marina & Resort; Moncada Hispania Boutique; Gym Marine; Bluewater; The Crew Network; Díaz & Asociados; Argentario Yacht Services; Express Bunker; Fronda
Last month, ESTELA took a group of captains, brokers and industry guests to Lanzarote, to discover the island as a cruising destination. It’s fair to say that they found it an eye-opening experience. Watch: https://youtu.be/Th1tJZizFzk The trip was organised in partnership with Lanzarote Tourism and Lanzarote Superyacht Destination, taking in the spectacular sights and taste of the island, as well as its marinas and yard facilities. It was the second event hosted by ESTELA, promoting Lanzarote as a superyacht destination, following our themed ‘End of Season Dinner’ in October of last year. Lanzarote will again feature in the forthcoming edition of ‘The Y Yachting Itineraries 2022/23’, to be published next month.
April was an extremely busy month for ESTELA, starting with an exploratory ‘famtrip’ to Lanzarote, followed by two breakfast seminars at the Palma Superyacht Village and ending with a spectacular Captains’ Dinner at the Museum 2022. Thanks to all our friends, partners and sponsors that made these events possible, and to those who attended. Our next major extravaganza will be the ‘End of Season’ event in Port Adriano on Friday 7th October. To find out more about collaborating with us, get in touch. Imagine you are a yacht owner and you decide to spend a week with your family on board your yacht. During this unforgettable relaxing week, far away from the chaos and civilization, who do you think is in charge of you and your family’s safety? Who is supposed to act in case of en emergency? Would you expect your crew to be prepared and well trained to manage an emergency on board your yacht and in the water? A professional yacht crew is in charge of the safety and the assistance of all the people on board, and only have basic knowledge of CPR and the first aid kits have far too little to ensure the safety and the high quality standard that this kind of ship requires. Yachts today sail around the seven seas, crossing oceans and visiting most remote and unknown zones, practicing different activities on board, on land and in the water, with different people, different rules and in many cases in wilderness areas .
